The teaching of the four elements influenced early medicine and had its period of glory during the Renaissance. This teaching assigns plants and its components as well as illnesses and their consequences to the four elements water, earth, fire and air.

Element fire
Fire represents the principle of creation, movement, power, force and the will of existence. It symbolizes our deeds, releases energy, demands assertiveness, creativity and enthusiasm.
