@ Hotel Natürlich in Fiss, Tyrol
…There is a pleasant atmosphere at the hotel Natürlich. Already at our arrival, I had the impression that I’d made the right choice! Hotel Natürlich lives up to its name. At the Natürlich everything is just natural and easygoing; to spend my holiday here feels natural, I didn’t need to accustom myself to it, I was in my element!
The central idea of the hotel is based on the four elements of nature; not overdone, just subtle and pleasant. Back to the roots, back to nature, back to yourself! That’s the motto of the Natürlich.
“Natürlich” is not just the name of the hotel, it is also a lived experience.
Back to the roots, that’s the philosophy of the hotel. This central idea was in our minds, even before we had the construction plans of the hotel. We also did not just come up with this philosophy, we live according to it. That is very important to us.
Our philosophy is our basis and simultaneously our basis is our philosophy.
It´s not just felt, seen and heard; it is lived!
Why is the hotel Natürlich in Fiss natural???
Philosophy and History:
A hotel is not built in one night. Thoughts and visions were in our minds for a long time. Our aim was to build a hotel with a certain, unique atmosphere. A hotel in which guests feel warm and cozy and immediately have a good feeling about their choice. Feeling as well as emotion in the sense of “I want to stay here, I’m going to feel ‘natural’!”
Therefore, a certain ‘software‘ was needed for the hotel. Based on this ‘software’ we wanted to establish a concept which creates this atmosphere by means of regional products, warm and natural materials in combination with modern colours. This ‘software’ in relation to the ‘hardware’ should convey the right holiday feeling.
To find a suitable name wasn’t easy. The name should not only be original but also convey the message of the hotel. In this sense, it was in fact not that difficult to find a name — it could only be ‘Natürlich‘.
After finding a name for our hotel, we knew that it is important to live up to its name and concept. The word ‘Natürlich‘ is binding. It is quite interesting that, when you start thinking about nature, there opens up a world full of ideas and possibilities.
Some are easy to implement, others more difficult and some cannot be implemented at all. Nonetheless, most of the time there is a natural solution.
What does ‘Natürlich’ mean? Guests often ask that question — some sceptical, others open-minded and curious.
Point 1 
NATURAL materials and resources
As much as possible: Natural materials, that is easily said.
What materials really are natural in the Natürlich?
- the furnishings – real wood veneer of regional spruce
- the rooms: oak parquet floors in almost all rooms
- the bathrooms – Terrastone walls (on a clay basis)
- Oak hardwood floors in the lounge and the entire dining room
- a pile of Swiss pine in the rooms – cut down in the wood of Fiss
- viele dekorative Details aus der Natur
- tables made out of one hundred years old wood, grown in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis
- electrosmog reduced sleeping area
- low energy hotel with large glas panels that help to heat the hotel
- natural decorations out of wood, inside and outside of the hotel
- Grander water in the entire hotel – revitalized water in its purest form
- electricity out of 100% water power from Tyrolean small power stations
- 40 – 45% of the electricity from our own photovoltaic system (60kWp)
- Electricity surplus is used for hot water (9kW) and the house battery (23kW)
Of course, very important on holiday. Since our hotel is a hotel Garni, a rich and healthy breakfast is of great importance to us — well-balanced and sometimes also sweet. Self-made small tartlets, open sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, super foods, milk shakes and fresh juices provide our guests with energy for an exciting day.
Hotel theme nights: barbecue evenings, Schnitzel evenings (escalope), Pasta evenings. Also here is room for naturalness. Our guests decide whether they want to attend these evenings >of course, informal. The different ingredients are mainly delivered fresh and prepared on the respective days.
We use in the entire hotel only valuable natural salt for our food. Organic milk from Tyrol for a fair milk price for our farmers and best quality. Noodles and eggs from local production. (Fisser Goggala) Yogurt from a local mountain farmer (Viktorishof – Tösens).
Small menu card: home-made soups, fresh salads and other delicacies. Pizzas and Flammkuchen are delivered frozen (honestly) by our baker — we serve these dishes oven-fresh. Guaranteed without harmful flavour enhancers, artificial flavours and preservatives.
Point 4 
The natural feeling
The last point of the Natürlich concept, with which everything started. In our time as skiing instructors in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis we tried to associate with the guests in an informal, personal and relaxed way. This is also what we want to do at our hotel, to create together with our staff an honest and natural atmosphere.
Our guests should not only enjoy the ‘natural hardware’ of the hotel, but most of all experience the feeling, the emotions of the ‘Natürlich software‘. To hear, feel, see and breathe the atmosphere of the hotel.
This is our four point Natürlich concept. We, the Natürlich team, will always be eager to increase and improve on the naturalness of the hotel. Either through natural elements or regarding sustainability.
The hotel is located at the outskirts of Fiss amongst beautiful nature and landscapes. Amidst an either green or white surrounding. Due to huge windows and glas panels one feels close to nature. Plain, functional and qualitative wooden furniture do not draw the attention away from nature outside.
Of course, not all of our rooms have a perfect view. These rooms, however, are a few square metres larger.
The highest wellness area of the region is also located at our hotel in Fiss.
Admire 360° pure nature from our roof terrace. A unique cold air zone or rather a unique cold air world.
The summer panoramic terrace is as unique as it is stunning in its location. Here, too, it’s 100% in harmony with nature. Protected from the village, our terrace offers unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Tyrol at its most beautiful. This is how vacations are naturally fun!
